a new avatar for a new age

Today I started working on a new avatar that I will use on social networks to represent artblade and me drawing digital art. I might use this drawing to make a new poster for the artblade blog as well.

a look back...

I remember a time called 2006. Before I had a bunch of bills to pay. Before I could really drive a car. before smartphones and facebook were a thing. before I had tablets to draw on.
At the time I worked at Popeye's and was going to ITT tech. Life was good. I didnt really have a ton on my plate nor did i need a ton on my plate.

I drew this as a very stylized self portrait. I worked on this while I was taking my brakes at Popeye's.

 

you can see I left room to draw a name tag and everything from the uniform there. Different hat tho.

I have no plans to finish this drawing.
