But wait. Theres more

Well I decided that I feel like now that Bioshock Infinite came out I have a better understanding of what Elizabeth actually looks like. The last two Bioshock pictures I made were kind of a stab in the dark. I wasn't really sure what Elizabeth looked like and how her costume was put together. I've also noticed how much she leans up against stuff in game.
This Piece also is my attempt at a new drawing style. I'm trying to get myself to rely less and less on lines. I want to get myself to treat this one like an acrylic painting and not like a pencil sketch. Which for me is pretty hard to do. Once again this is all on my Galaxy Note 10.1. Wish I had a full windows tablet to draw on...

Another thing to note about using the Galaxy Note 10.1. Its not a full on computer so it has its limits when drawing at high resolution. This image is restricted to only having 3 layers total. Three layers is just not very much. Granted, its more layers then you would get with a normal drawing or painting (which is just one layer)

Complete !!! Bioshock Infinite pieces

I was able to finish 2 pieces in anticipation for Bioshock Infinite's release. Here they are, Click and enjoy !

The First one (Top Left) was done entirely with my galaxy note 10.1. I used a mixture of Photoshop Touch and Sketchbook Pro. It took around 2 weeks of time but that was while working 40hr/week making subs. Got it at the highest resolution that Sketchbook can handle.

The Second one (bottom) was a little more time consuming. Took about 2-3 weeks. I drew the characters and the background separately in Sketchbook Pro and exported them to Photoshop for windows. Then with Photoshop I combined them to make the one layered image.

On going work...

Got some more work done on the Elizabeth drawing in the last couple days. Next I've got to detail her hands then do drop shadows.

my thoughts (birthday shopping)

Well yesterday I went on a spiritual journey (to best buy) and took some time to consider getting the surface pro for drawing. The display model they had was not working. I tried to play around with the surface RT. For those that don't know what the surface RT is think surface Pro > Surface RT where as OSX > IOS. The RT model is like the low power version of windows. Windows 8 RT is meant to run on ARM processors, on the other hand Windows 8 pro is meant for your standard x86 type of processor.
The surface pro did eventually start up but I had no access to the pen nor did I have an app that was pressure sensitive to try out the pen. Eventually I had the bright idea of using the pen from my Galaxy Note Phone. The pen worked on the surface but all I had to try it out with was MS Paint.
Going back and forth through the store I finally decided that I was gonna go with a gaming laptop instead. Something with some real power. In the future I can use Photoshop and a wacom tablet to draw. Also I still have my Galaxy Note 10.1, a device that I am still quite fond of. Ill get more miles out of my galaxy note while being able to game and handle high end apps on my new laptop.

Digital works

The best thing about using an android tablet to draw is that I get to use layers when I work on pieces. Layers let me separate the image into smaller images to simplify the work.
